Unique Features of Triton Technology Ltd DMA
1. Portable size means that it can easily be transported to another site if an on site problem
needs to be tackled somewhere else. The 1 litre dewar is enough for at least 2 runs starting at
-100ºC. A portable Pentium computer as used by Triton Technology/Gearing Scientific Ltd has meant
within half an hour of arrival on site we are up and running! Also, of course, this means a very
small footprint on the bench or desktop.
2. Safety. It has been designed to satisfy the European CE low voltage directive with 28V being
used throughout after the initial 240V mains input. Very low radiation satisfying the EMC
(Electromagnetic Compatibility directive of the CE). The sample mounting can be done
horizontally, at 45º or vertically up according to the convenience or height of the operator
without stooping or having to stand on tip-toe!
3. Software is written in Excel so that raw data are stored in untouchable files - needed by
the pharm’l industry, and final smoothed data or comparison curves can be easily passed from dept
to dept.
4. Very low sample size - the patented powder pockets can run just a few milligrams of material
(solid powder or gooey liquid) safely, rapidly and cleanly with still over 1000 times the
sensitivity of the latest DSCs. If researching or making new materials often only a very small
amount is available. Of course the normal bar, film or fibre sample can also be run
conveniently. 0.02 to 8mm thick samples are OK.
